Our wonderful Mum, Lynn Storrie, passed away on 11th March 2023 after developing secondary breast cancer in December 2022. She had previously fought breast cancer in 2008 and again in 2020 but remained full of joy, life, and love for others through it all.
No amount of time would ever have been enough, but the warmth that emanated from Mum provided a lifetime’s worth of memories for us. Every moment sitting and talking, cooking, dancing around the kitchen, taking long walks, or calling each other from the other side of the world was full of laughter, love, and support. Mum shared this same loving support with all those whom she taught. Teaching was Mum’s passion; she taught at Farnborough Hill for the last 22 years and every day would still arrive home and tell us about how much the students made her smile. There are hundreds of people out there now with happy memories of school or who pursued a career in science because of Mum’s encouragement and love of biology.
We know that Mum would have wanted to continue to support others, so we have set up this page in her memory to help support research into this disease that affects so many. We welcome any donations or simple messages or photos to share in your memories of Lynn.
