A much loved and missed lady. A wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family and loved Jesus.
Left this world on 3rd September 2008, aged 56, after a 3 year battle with Breast Cancer but her memory lives on through the many lives that she has touched.
Her motto ' I will bless the Lord at all times His praise shall continually be in my mouth...' (Psalms 34) Her faith kept her strong.
Three of Vilma's five daughters, Antonette, Paulette and Tessa established 'The Baxter Girls' in 2006 after their mother's diagnosis and have organised several events including a Gospel Concert, Carribean Banquet and Family Fun Day. Vilma's brother Fitz has also contributed by arranging Salsa Events through his organisation 'Salsa Flex'.
Whilst alive Vilma helped with Fundraising and Promoting as she wanted everyone to know the Breakthrough term 'Touch Look Check' and support the need for a future free from Breast Cancer.
Her funeral was attended by over 500 people within the community and The Baxter Girls will continue to remember Vilma through Fundraising for the charity while spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, two factors Vilma was very passionate about.

Over 7 year since our mum Vilma left us and we miss her greatly. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will never forget this great lady even Jayden, Mark, Maylarna and Lytel who she never met. I have only just found out about Vilma passing couldn't believe it. I got to know vilma well when she worked at Gambro the two things she cared about was her family and her Jesus. She always saw good in everything and was always laughing. If I knew at the time I would of been at the funeral you will be sadly missed but never forgotten x
