This page has been created in memory of Karole Robinson who was an inspiration to her family and friends. Her life was filled with love and she leaves everyone who knew her, whether it was for many years or just a few moments, with some very happy memories.

Karole managed to fit more activities and people into her short life than many of us will manage if we live to be 100 – but she was just 42. Far too young for harp playing on a cloud.

Karole's family, Lewis, Ruby and Molly, will be delighted if you make a contribution to Breakthrough in memory of Karole which will help to build a future free from the fear of breast cancer.

All money raised on these pages will be earmarked as being donations made via this Tribute Fund when they reach Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Simply choose one of the links above to see what you can do.

If you would like to share your memories of Karole, you can do this in the 'sign the visitors book' section. You might also like to tell other people about this service.

I think of you often. You were my mum Heathers friend and you were lovely! You came to my sons christening even though you'd had chemotherapy only the day before. Typical of you to be so kind. You're drift wood art was fantastic and takes pride of place in my mums house. Every time I walk past 'them bollardy' things in Saltburn I chuckle to myself. When I hear the scientist by cold play I think of you and madonna as I babysat for your children and would listen to the cd in your wonderfully decorated living in. I used to ring you for advice of how I should hang my pictures when I moved into Montrose street. I'm honoured to have known you. Sleep tight beautiful.

Dearest Karole It's two years since you left this world and all of your loving family and so many friends behind. Over the years we have watched and shared many of your struggles against this terrible illness and felt so helpless at not being able to do more. We now know that much of your pain was hidden from your loved ones and we have marvelled at the strength and courage it must have taken.Even during your last stay in hospital, you wrote lengthy details on the back of an envelope, planning the next holiday in the summer with all us, including the family from America. There are not many days that go by without some thoughts or memories of happier days coming into our minds. We remember your playful sense of humour that sparkled in so many ways. Your fun loving quirkiness, your enthusiasm you put into life was an example to us all. You had the talent for making people feel special which is a wonderful rare quality. You always found time to keep us in touch with Ruby & Mollys lives and achievements. They are a great credit to you and Lewis. You would be so proud of them! We kissed your beautiful face and said goodbye on your 42nd birthday in February 2005. We will never forget your warm and generous nature, the care, friendship and happiness you brought to our family. We could not have wished for a more kind and loving daughter in law. Karen

I was at college with Karole over 20 years ago, she was a wonderful friend to me then and afterwards. I can,t believe she,s no longer around. I often find myself thinking of her and then realising I,ll never be able to talk to her again. I wish you were still here Karole. She was such an exceptional person. Iam planning to organise a piano concert with my piano school to raise funds for cancer research and will be mentioning dear Karole in the programme. When this concert has been sheduled I will give further details,so that if anyone would like to make a donation they can. In the meantime lots of love to Lewis Ruby Molly and the rest of the family. I often think of you all.take care and God Bless.
