In memory of Goochy Watts

So far we have raised

£2,135.00

On the 15 August I am undertaking a lone cycle across France hoping to cover a 1000 miles, or if you happen to be interested in weight loss, burn off 52,500 k/calories! The plan is to do 80 miles per day over 7 hour days. The remaining 17 hours will be spent drinking wine or seriously horizontal in my sleeping bag.

The ride is in aid of feigning youth, my ego and stubbornly to see if my backside will be as sore as I've been advised it will be. As an aside, I will be raising some cash in the name of Goochy Watts for whom any successes in breast cancer research will be too late, but with her name attached, will undoubtedly deliver double the benefit.

Any money that you donate will be going towards a £300,000 target for ‘THE SARAH GREENE CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP’. This is new post for a talented medical doctor to join the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Unit at King's College London and bridge the gap between research taking place at the unit and treatment in the Breast clinic, which adjoins the research unit. This will enable breast cancer patients to receive cutting edge treatment and benefit from research breakthroughs at the earliest possible opportunity.

Any contributions you can make will be gratefully received by The Sarah Greene Clinical Fellowship and hugely appreciated by Goochy's husband Andrew and their children Jess, Jonathan and Harry.
