In memory of Gill Morrell
Losing your mum never stops hurting but eventually you remember the good times rather than just the pain of your loss. My mum died of breast cancer in 1999 three months after being diagnosed and despite regular mammograms. After she died I started doing charity events in her memory - including the Inca trail in Peru pictured right - and raised £33,000.
After a break from challenges I've entered the Women's 10K on 2 August in Bristol. Those that know me will know that despite my spangly new trainers my mouth has done more talking about running than my legs have running so i decided i had to get off my backside and set myself a target to go from zero to 10K in 2 months and raise at least £150 at the same time.
Thank you all for reading and if you would like to sponsor me or share this i would be very grateful!
UPDATE Thank you everyone!! Raised more than £250 for the run which completed in 85 minutes x
