We found out 2 days before my mom passed away that she had metastatic breast cancer, which had spread to her lungs, liver, abdomen and other areas. The doctors said that it was too late as she had deteriorated to quick and that she would be too weak for chemotherapy.
We reckon she might’ve known and kept quiet about what was happening to her, for how long we don’t know. We think she did it so she didn’t have to put any worry onto us, as that’s the type of lady she was. We only wish she could’ve spoke to us instead of having to deal with the worry herself.
One thing that we will always be grateful for is the time we got to spend together as a family, before she passed away. In the short time we had we spent all of it by her side, talking to her and holding her hands before she drifted away peacefully.
My mom was a beautiful lady who was devoted to her family and friends, who always made you happy even when you were down. She was loved by everyone who knew her and you could always see her laughing, making jokes and smiling. She would always put her others before herself.
She was one of the most lovely, genuine, caring, strong willed ladies you could ever wish to meet and the best wife, mother, sister, nan and friend you could ever wish for.
This is for you mom. Love you forever and always x
Please donate as much or as little as you want to help other families who have or are going through what we did. Leave a message if you would like, to keep the memory of my mom going forever.
