This tribute page is in memory of Alison Perry (nee Morris), who succumbed to secondary breast cancer on Thursday 25th November 2010.

Here is a brief summary about Ali's cancer journey.

Alison was first diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1997. She underwent surgery and chemotherapy/radiotherapy treatment for this, which was successful. Ali was in remission until 2009 when she was diagnosed with secondary cancer. Even though the cancer had now spread to her bones Ali remained positive about her future, she knew her disease could be monitored and controlled although never cured. Unfortunately, the disease progressed. Ali never ever gave up hope, right up until the very end Ali believed she could fight this disease.

I'm sure everyone who knew Alison would agree, she was a wonderfully positive person, with a bright and vivacious personality. She bought so much joy and happiness to everyone that knew her.

So its up to us guys now to make sure that Ali's suffering hasn't been in vain. We need to make her proud. By raising as much money as possible for this fabulous charity we can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you could do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

I really knew Alison's big sister Joy, back in sixth form. But remember Ali when I went round for coffee after school. Such a happy young woman. I only recently found out about Ali. Thinking especially of Joy now, and how it must have been and still be for you now without your sister and of all Alison's family too.
