In memory of 3 Wonderful Women

So far we have raised

£111,068.75

A note from Shelley: This tribute fund was initially set up in 2003 after my mum Jean passed away. Shortly after after my best friend Natalie was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully she survived. Inspired by our fundraising efforts Natalie wanted to help as did her sister-in-law Joanne who's mum Pauline had previously battled breast cancer. We became a team known as '3 girls - 1 goal'. Our fundraising to date, with the help of family and friends has seen us: host black tie balls & coffee mornings, walk, run and swim miles and hike Machu Picchu. In 2017 Pauline lost her life to this terrible disease and in 2019 so did my Nanny Lou - so this tribute fund, us 3 girls and our families, now dedicate to these 3 incredibly wonderful women.

Mum was an amazing woman and only ever wished the best for those around her. Her laugh was infectious and she would always be the first one up on the dance floor. The morning she died, my sister Tracy and I said that we wanted to do something every year to celebrate her life and have a day to bring our family and friends together. We set up this tribute fund to show that mum will never ever be out of our thoughts. - Shelley Dobson

PAULINE PENNY

My wonderful mum lost her life to cancer in May 2017. She had breast cancer in 1991 and had been clear since, so to be told she had cancer in multiple places in 2016 and it was too late to treat came as a complete shock. My mum was a fun, vibrant person who I loved so much, I spoke to nearly every day, the grief I have felt since losing her is indescribable. Please join me in fundraising for BCN in memory of those we have lost. - Joanne Penny

LOUISE POLLARD
07.04.28 - 15.12.19
Louise, Lou, Mum, Nanny, Nanny Lou, Two Nan's - just some of the names my wonderful mum was known by. Her family were everything to her and her to them. She lived her life to the full and showed us the way until the end. Reunited now, over the rainbow, with her soul mate my dad Les. - Lynn Dobson
